How to report a missing person in Mississippi
  1. Contact the local police department or county sheriff immediately (call 911 if urgent.
  2. Provide full name, aliases, DOB/age, physical description, last known location/time, clothing, vehicle info, photos, medical/mental health concerns, and any surveillance or witness info.
  3. Ask that they enter the person into NCIC and state databases.
  4. For minors or suspected abductions, also contact NCMEC: 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).
  5. File missing person reports with NamUs (register at namus.gov) — law enforcement must upload case info for some features.
